The green and digital transitions must work together to drive these goals forward. Through IoT sensors, smart meters, and AI-powered analytics, companies have access to vast amounts of data. The ability to convert this data into actionable insights is therefore crucial. Business Intelligence (BI) offers a powerful suite of tools to transform energy data into strategic assets. By integrating advanced analytics with data visualization, BI supports organizations in making informed decisions, optimizing operations, identifying areas for improvement, and enhancing overall energy efficiency.

Studio Ing. Marini has developed BI applications based on Tableau technology, providing a set of cloud-based dashboards designed to support the implementation of ISO 50001. From consumption tracking to interactive EnPI analytics dashboards, these tools enable organizations to make data-driven decisions for maintenance, operations, and CAPEX investments in energy efficiency initiatives.

The paper illustrates how an industrial company can effectively monitor its energy performance, identify energy conservation opportunities, and report ESG indicators with accuracy and efficiency, using a set of BI dashboards to support the ISO 50001 continuous improvement process.
