Opportunities for Decarbonization Through the Delivery of Low Carbon District Heating
This session will explore the application of low carbon district heating and how technology and project delivery have matured from 3rd to 5th generation systems. The session will explore the application of various low carbon heating sources as well as policy enactors that enable successful project delivery.
The session will further explore District Heating in context of the UK and European progress in the decarbonization of heat in domestic and non-domestic buildings.
Speaker Bio
Chris is a Chartered Engineer with over a decade worth of experience working on District Energy Projects. He is currently the District Energy Lead for Turner & Townsends sustainability business and supports a number of Governmental Agencies, municipalities and private clients with commercial, technical and project management advice on existing and new District Energy projects.
His experience of District Energy covers the full project lifecycle from strategic proposition, feasibility, and into design, construction and operation. Chris is further involved in academic research as a Doctoral student where he is exploring the climate risks associated with energy infrastructure projects.
