Speaker Bio
For more than 6 years I have been focused on Data Center resilience, sustainability and Energy Efficiency Auditing and Verification. During this time I have supported the EUDCA (European Data Center Association), CNDCP (Climate Neutral Data Center Pact) develop an Audit Framework based on 5 key metrics, 1. Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE), 2. Water Usage Effectiveness (WUE), 3. Clean Energy, 4. Circular Energy (Heat re-use), 5. Circular Economy (IT re-cycle, re-furbish and re-use) based on key performance indicator metrics from ISO 30134 and resulting from this Audited and verified more than 12 major international and European based Data Center Operators having multiple facilities across Europe and the Nordics. I was also Chairman of the drafting group engaged by the EU Commission to develop an Assessment Framework for the Taxonomy Regulation Alignment with Technical Screening Criteria of EU Taxonomy Commission Delegation Regulation 2021/2319, Annex 1 and 2, Section 8.1. Data processing, hosting and related activities which is based on the EU Code of Conduct for Data Center Energy Efficiency. I have also since audited and verified a number of Data Center Operators across the EU and Nordics against this regulation
