He is also an AEE former President and Board Member, and is the current Chair of the AEE Global Training Committee.\r\nIan received the prestigious ISO Excellence award in 2022, with the award stating \"In recognition of his excellent service to ISO TC301 and, in particular for his championing the dual role of auditor and client, ensuring that energy excellence was present in every aspect of the development and publication of the 2021 revision of ISO 50003, Energy Management Systems; Requirements for bodies providing audits and certifications of Energy Management System.
